Dr. Steven D. BinesDr. Bines is a board-certified surgeon who has been in surgical practice for over 20 years. He is a Candidate with the American College of Surgeons and a Diplomate with the American Board of Surgery.    

After his surgical residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Dr. Bines completed a two year fellowship in surgical oncology at the MD Anderson Hospital and Tumor institute at the University of Texas System Cancer Center. He then returned to Chicago , joining the surgical staff at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, where he serves as a Senior Attending Surgeon and an Associate Professor at the Rush Medical College. He is also the Director of Surgical Research in the Department of Surgery at Rush and Co-Director of the Pigmented Lesion Center at the Rush Cancer Institute, where he is also a member of the Comprehensive Breast Center.

Dr. Bines brings years of surgical experience to his new practice dedicated exclusively to the treatment of venous disease. He is trained in the use of the latest in minimally invasive procedures including laser ablation, a procedure performed with local anesthesia generally within an hour. We provide treatment for problem varicose veins, spider veins, and other vein disorders right in our office.
